  1. Dear Ms. McNamara–

I await your book which you had told me in person sometime ago was going to be on Woods hole. I told you at that time that the current director of it is GARY BORISY a classmate and a U of Chicago graduate 1962. I suggested you send him a copy to get a “blurb” for your book cover. I say him recently and told HIM about it. More important, his wife is a avid MYSTERY reader. I thikn, if there is still time to get her to read your advance copy and make a comment for the bookcover. She was an English teacher. Gary and she both have good senses of humor. Get a book signing date in Woods Hole. They probably would come.

I gave away at our 50th College Reunion at the U of C. last week a door prize of your book on the Pullman strike and Gary actually spoke at a session on campus about “Evolution in the fields of Science and Technology”. What a coup if you could get a quote for the inside or back cover. His e-mail is gborisy@mbl.edu By the way, his wife’s name is Sally if you ask her for the quote.

Are you going to be at Centuries and Sleuths– I’ll get my copy or two there. I’m not into big crowds at the book fairs.

P.S.S.– We love the Brewster Book store on the Cape.which gets great book signing attendance.
